Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– The Buena Vista County Board of Supervisors spent some time on Tuesday discussing options on how to dispose of the the former Colorize building a week after a 3-2 vote was taken to sell it instead of using for a possible department reorganization.

County Attorney Paul Allen told the board no matter which direction is sought a public hearing will have to be held since the sale would involve county-owned property.

Allen adds there is also some flexibility so-to-speak when it comes to going the bid or realtor route.

Initial discussions among the board seem to favor starting the process with accepting sealed bids for the property. If a reasonable sale price is not achieved that way, Buena Vista County will then explore listing with a realtor.
