Spencer, IA (KICD) One of the cornerstones of downtown Spencer that has seen a ton of change over the years, will itself be changing. Colleen Thompson says Caroll’s Bakery has been in Spencer since before sliced bread was invented and it has been able to endure several different trying times from World War I up through the great Spencer Fire in the 1930s.
Thompson says Caroll’s Bakery is a team effort.
Thompson expands on being part of tradition in Spencer.
Colleen, and her husband Paul Thompson, have worked hard and now they’re going to play hard. Carroll’s Bakery will be open until their lease runs out in January.
