Spencer, IA (KICD)– The Spencer City Council last week gave the approval needed to move forward with plans to improve two streets in the community.

Engineer Ross McWhirter with Kruse, Cate and Nelson says the first project with some additional improvement will be located on the south side of the community.

 

The second street will be on the opposite side of town on a chunk of land just north of Schoeneman’s which will largely come out of the city’s pocket according to Engineer Brian Schmidt for access to a soon to be built business.

The project for 29th Street Southwest was also awarded last week to DeLoss Construction who had a low bid of a little over 393 thousand dollars.
