Dickens, IA (KICD) — Saturday is the first ever Dickens Days. Jami Hamrick says several citizens thought it was worth trying a celebration like other communities have.

Dickens Days will feature a parade Saturday morning, but many other activities around town – many geared toward children.

Hamrick says if it goes well they might try to expand to two days next year.
