Sheldon, IA (KICD)– The City of Sheldon is continuing to talk water resources about a month after public announcements were made that its segment of the Lewis and Clark Water System is nearing completion.

Public Works Director Todd Uhl told the city council last week the bids have been received and opened work to improve the existing water plant to make the connection possible in the coming future.

Other business related to water on Wednesday was to decide if the city wanted to get into an agreement to sell water to the City of Sioux Center.

The City Council approved the agreement after Uhl noted he feels this is a good move for Sheldon to utilize its water resource while also being able make some money down the road.
