Spencer, IA (KICD)– The City of Spencer has received the full report on the local aquatic center that was conducted earlier this year to get an idea of what items may need some attention in the aging facility.
Parks and Recreation Director Bob Fullhart tells KICD News the evaluation found that the overall structure of the pool area on the southeast side of town is still in good shape despite being twenty-five plus years old.
Fullhart says the task at hand now is determining the financial side and prioritizing the upgrades.
In other park related business, Fullhart tells us work is expected to begin later this month on the tennis courts near Spencer Middle School with the hopes of having construction completed early in the Fall.
