Spencer, IA (KICD)– It has been about a month since the Clay County Attorney’s Office moved into its new home just north of the Courthouse and staff seems to be settling in nicely.

County Attorney Travis Johnson tells KICD News the move, which has been in the works for some time, came to be as a method of making it easier not only for staff to do their daily work that involves making trips to the Courthouse, but it is also more convenient for members of the public utilizing the office’s service.

The move to the heart of Spencer has also given additional space for future growth of the County Attorney’s Office.

The new office, Johnson says, also makes for a more comfortable environment when it comes to interviews and case preparation.

The new Clay County Attorney’s Office can be found in the former Northwest Bank building on the corner of West 5th Street and 2nd Avenue West. A portion of the structure will also be inhabited by Clay County Veteran Affairs.
