Spencer, IA (KICD) — The Clay County Sheriff’s department reports serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident around 2 o’clock Saturday morning West of Spencer.

33-year-old Taylor Eink of Primghar was westbound on Highway18 in a 1994 GMC Sierra when he veered across the highway and struck a bridge guardrail where the road crosses over the Little Sioux River. The vehicle was a total loss and Eink was transported to Spencer Hospital. The accident remains under investigation.
