Spencer, IA (KICD)– The Clay County Community Foundation handed checks to twenty organizations Monday night.

The top award of 10 thousand dollars went to : The Peterson Library; Dickens and Royal Fire Departments; the Spencer Jaycees and High Noon Kiwanis; and Occassions.

Executive Director Terri Batschelet tells KICD News the annual 25 thousand dollar “Impact Grant” was NOT awarded this year.

The Foundation is funded from Clay County’s share of state gambling revenue.
