Spencer, IA (KICD)– Clay County Relay for Life is returning to Spencer on Saturday for its annual event.
LaVonne Bell tells KICD’s Kevin Tlam the relay has typically taken place in August, but organizers decided to push it up a bit this year based on space availability.
Bell says Relay for Life serves a dual purpose in not only remembering those who lost their battle with cancer but also in celebrating the survivors.
Luminaries for Saturday’s Clay County Relay for Life are available at Northwest Bank, Abben Cancer Center and Spencer City Hall ahead of time or on the fairgrounds during the event.
