Pocahontas, IA (KICD)– A Denison man is facing multiple drug and weapons charges following a Pocahontas County traffic stop in August.
Information released on Monday says the stop was initiated by a Sheriff’s Deputy on August 21st about four miles north of Pocahontas where 37-year-old Ian Ward was ultimately charged with five counts each of felony possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a firearm suppressor. Ward was further charged with one count each of possession of a short barreled rifle, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia along with being cited for not having a valid driver’s license.
Ward was taken to the Pocahontas County Jail to await his initial court appearance.
