Arnolds Park, IA (KICD) — The Dickinson County Endowment Fund has announced eighteen grants, totalling nearly 124 thousand dollars this cycle.
The top recipient is the Voluntary Action Center, receiving 18 thousand dollars for subsidized meals on wheels.
Other five-figure grants include: 15 thousand dollars for renovations at the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa in Milford, and new lighting at the Harris Lake Park school athletic fields.
The Dickinson County museum will receive over 12 thousand dollars for restoration of the old depot portion of their building. And the No boundaries programs at the Okoboji Middle School will get ten grand.
Since 2005 the organization has awarded over 1.7 million dollars to 98 different non-profit organizations and each school district in the county, representing 427 separate projects.
