Arnolds Park, IA (KICD) — Cedar Valley Construction of Waterloo should resume the highway 71 rebuild through the Iowa Great Lakes today.
Iowa D-O-T engineer Dakin Schultz says there should be no closures, but you will encounter detours.
Work is only allowed before and after the summer tourist season with this spring’s construction set to wrap up on Thursday, May 23rd – just ahead of the Memorial Day weekend.
Schultz tells KICD News there was a defective part in the new stoplight installed at Lake Street in Arnolds Park last year that should be replaced soon, and one of the traffic control lights will be moved to line up with the proper lane.
