Montgomery, IA (KICD) — A Montgomery man is in the Dickinson County jail on attempted murder charges this morning.
Authorities alerted the public that they were on the look-out for 19 year old Caleb Crosby around 7 o’clock last night, after responding to what was called an “active” situation near the subject’s residence in the small community of Montgomery.
An Okoboji police vehicle was seen at the location, and KICD listeners in Lake Park observed a number of law enforcement vehicles in their community about that time. Sheriff Greg Balloun informed us Crosby was taken into custody around 9pm. Scanner traffic indicates it was in Osceola County.
In addition to the attempted murder charge, Crosby has also been charged with 1st degree theft.
On March 11th Crosby was arrested for interferring with emergency personel at the scene of a trailer fire at the same Montgomery location. At that time he was also charged for being in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and alcohol under the legal age; and for carrying brass knuckles.
