Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday gave the green light to move forward with the process of creating a new subdivision in the northern portion of county.
Zoning Administrator Megan Kardell told the board the proposal comes many years after some accessory buildings were constructed prior to the current zoning ordinance being in place.
The proposal involves the property being divided into multiple lots but no houses we be allowed to be constructed in the area.
As written, the property owners would have to come back to the county in the future if any of the subdivision lots were to be changed to residential as that option is not currently an option.
