Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors heard a presentation on Tuesday from an engineering looking to help with continued drainage and water quality efforts in the Iowa Great Lakes Area.
Spencer Peck from ISG told the board his firm has taken a slightly different approach to drainage based on how usage has changed.
Engineer Mark Origer says at least one of the projects his group has worked on in the recent past is in Jackson County with water ultimately making its way into Big Spirit Lake.
Origer adds that one of the biggest hurdles engineers face today when it comes getting landowners on board for both drainage and water quality projects is the ever increasing costs of needed materials.
