Spencer, IA (KICD)– Students at Spencer High School returned to the classroom for the new academic year earlier this with a new face leading the building in the office.
Dr. Kirsten Doebel was hired back in April to replace Will Dible, who left the district for a Superintendent job in Eastern Iowa.
Since taking over her new job last month, Doebel says she has seen several positive aspects of the district, but will continue to spend a large part of her first year sitting back and learning the ropes of the school.
Doebel began her career as a Social Studies teacher in the Alta-Aurelia School District before moving to Fort Dodge serving as an instructional coach and most recently the Director of Secondary Education before coming to Spencer.
