Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)– An Emmetsburg daycare provider has pled not guilty to charges related to a child death investigation from earlier this year.

28-year-old Hannah Priest entered the written plea in Palo Alto County court last week after being charged in late August with child endangerment resulting in death.

The charge stems from an incident in January where 23-month-old Sebastian Jespersen was found unresponsive while in Priest’s care and later died at the hospital.

Online court records show Priest was released from custody after posting bond with a jury trial scheduled for February.
