On Big Country 107.7, the Emmetsburg E-Hawks looked to seal up a District Title with a win over Manson-Northwest Webster.
The E-Hawks dominated in this game, as they have through all of District Play.
Jace Nelson-Brown started the scoring with a 2 yard Touchdown run. The E-Hawks scored again in the 1st quarter when Gavin Swanson ran it in from 5 yards away making it 13-0.
Emmetsburg really blew the game open in the 2nd quarter. Swanson hit Byron Mana in the endzone for a 31 yard Touchdown Pass, Carson Baak trotted 13 yards for a score, Mana caught another Swanson Touchdown pass, this time for 27 yards, and Baak returned a fumble 34 yards for a Touchdown, making the score 48-0 going into the half.
Emmetsburg would score to open the 3rd quarter with a 20 yard Touchdown run from Jacob Grau-West.
Manson-Northwest Webster would get on the board late in the 3rd on a 6 yard Touchdown run from Camdon Birkey.
Emmetsburg would tack on one more touchdown on a 10 yard Touchdown run rom Tyce Jenness, and the E-Hawks came away with the 54-6 route.
Emmetsburg combined from 284 yards rushing on 40 carries with 5 Touchdowns while holding the Cougars to only 41 yards of Total offense.
Emmetsburg finishes the season with a District Championship and a 6-2 record while Manson-Northwest Webster finishes 3-5. Both teams will play in the round of 32 for the Class 1A State Playoffs next week.
Other scores in 1A District 1 include East Sac County topping Sioux Central 13-6 and Pocahontas Area shutting out Eagle Grove 12-0.
