Sioux City, IA (KICD)– An Emmetsburg woman has pled guilty to a federal weapons charge.
35-year-old Andrea Lee entered the plea on Tuesday to one count of possessing a firearm as a felon after being convicted in April 2021 in a drug case.
The most recent case arose following a search of Lee’s home after she tested positive for recent methamphetamine use during a probation check. That search resulted in the discovery of a handgun hidden in a floor vent, ammunition and a bag of needles.
Lee will be sentenced at a later date and faces up to 15 years in prison and a quarter million dollar fine.
