Estherville, IA (KICD)– The Estherville Chamber of Commerce is launching a new program aimed at helping community members build their leadership skills.

Director Lexie Ruter tells KICD News Lead the Ville is a structured educational program for adults from the Estherville area interested in the local community, its leaders and decision making processes.

Ruter says the program will take meet over a course of several months starting later this summer.

The hope is those taking the courses will be able to take away a number of lessons picked up through different types of learning.

Only twelve people will be selected for Lead the Ville with an application process available now through May 15th. Additional details can be found on the Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce website.
