Estherville, IA (KICD)– The City of Estherville is looking to potentially update some of its zoning ordinances revolving around walls and fences in front yards.
City Administrator Penny Clayton says current restrictions do not allow for such structures over four feet tall, but the current proposal could make some exceptions.
That matter will be discussed in more detail at a future meeting. Clayton says the city council DID approve a change in the city’s facade grant program last week.
Another change is that property owners may now apply for the grant every ten years to keep their storefronts in good shape.
