Estherville, IA (KICD)– A garage in Estherville was heavily damaged when a fire broke out Sunday night.

Assistant Fire Chief Brian Mack tells KICD News crews were called to the 500 block of North 6th Street around midnight to find the empty structure full involved in flames.

Mack says the garage was in a shared driveway and was close to two houses but neither sustained any damage.

The blaze is believed to have caused by sparks from a recreational fire.
