Estherville, IA (KICD)–The Estherville City Council along with KICD News got an opportunity on Monday to visit the Estherville airport to see the impact it has on the local community.

Paul Slaughter has been managing the airport for many years and has continued to see great value to the community as a whole.

Slaughter described how active the airport is despite its smaller size.

There are plans for future growth at the Estherville airport including maximizing traffic flow adding more hangers for plane storage and increasing fuel capacity.
