Cherokee, IA (KICD)– The first local results for the Billion Bill Pledge have been released with success being noted.
John Greenwood is the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Goldfinch Health, the agency responsible for the creation of the Billion Pill Program. He tells KICD News the results seen in the last six months since Cherokee Regional Health Center became the first facility in Iowa to join the program have been beyond encouraging.
The pilot program for the Billion Pill Pledge began with five hospitals and has since expanded to eight with hopes of having enough funding through opioid settlements to have the program eventually available to all hospitals in Iowa.
