Flags Ordered to Half Staff in Honor of Iowa POWS Killed in Korean War
Des Moines, IA (KICD)– Flags across Iowa are flying at half-staff on Friday in honor of Prisoner of War killed in Korea.
Corporal Delbert White of Ottumwa was 20-years-old when he died as a POW in North Korea in March 1951. His remains were accounted for thorugh DNA analysis and have been returned to his hometown for burial which took place Friday morning.
Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered all flags in Iowa be lowered to half-staff in honor of Corporal White until sunset Friday.
