Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– A former Dickinson County Attorney has had her license to practice law reinstated despite having been convicted of public intoxication.
According to the Iowa Capitol Dispatch, Amy Zenor recently had her license reinstated by the Iowa Supreme Court after it was originally suspended last November following an incident at the Dickinson County Courthouse in which she was found to be intoxicated while on the job.
State records indicate alcohol may have been an issue as far back as 2018 when Zenor was working in Clay County.
Zenor has denied that she was drunk in the Spirit Lake incident claiming she has a rare disorder in which her body makes her appear intoxicated without have had any alcohol.
The Capitol Dispatch notes that since having her license to practice law returned, Zenor has begun prosecuting cases in Palo Alto County.
