Northwest Iowa (KICD)– Four people have been hospitalized in the last week following separate crashes around Northwest Iowa.
The first incident took place last Thursday when 74-year-old Pete Hamill of Sheldon was hit by a car while riding his bicycle on the shoulder of a road just outside of town. The extent of his injuries have not been released. The driver that hit him has been charged with failing to yield to a non-motorist.
A Lone Rock man was hurt a crash involving a semi Tuesday afternoon in Palo Alto County. 74-year-old David Lynch sustained minor injuries when the truck, which was filled with grain at the time, overturned near Fenton.
A Milford woman and man were taken to the hospital following a rear-end crash south of Milford Wednesday afternoon. 23-year-old Kassandra Toben was reportedly slowing to turn in the 3200 mile of Highway 71 around 4:30 when 61-year-old Gare De Wolf of Milford hit her from behind. Both drivers were taken to Lakes Regional Healthcare with complaint of pain
