Northwest Iowa (KICD) — The summer of severe weather and excessive flooding continued late Friday afternoon.
KICD went on air right before 4pm when a Tornado Warning was issued for Sioux and O’Brien Counties. That would also lead to Thunderstorm Warnings for Clay, Dickinson and Palo Alto Counties, followed by another Tornado Warning in Palo Alto County.
KICD received no damage reports, other than extensive flooding from heavy rainfall.
Both Clay and Dickinson Counties have issued statements advising NO TRAVEL on gravel roads. With more heavy rain expected during the night and Saturday, rivers are still rising. Law enforcement reminds the public – under no circumstances is travel advised when water is over the roadway.
