Algona, IA (KICD)– Funeral services have been announced for an Algona Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty earlier this week.
Officer Kevin Cram will be laid to rest on Wednesday following a 10:30 service at the Ed and Betty Wilcox Performing Arts Center at the Algona Community School with a public visitation being held Tuesday evening from four to eight.
Officer Cram died at the hospital Wednesday night after he was shot while attempting to arrest 43-year-old Kyle Ricke on an warrant out of Palo Alto County. Ricke was taken into custody several hours later near Sleepy Eye, Minnesota and has been charged with first degree murder.
A memorial fund has been established for Officer Cram’s family at Iowa State Bank in Algona. The public is also welcome to pay their respects at a memorial set up outside of the Law Enforcement Center in Algona.
