GTRA and Sioux Central were in an outstanding Lakes Conference Quad with Manson-Northwest Webster and South Central Calhoun. GTRA would lose to Manson-Northwest Webster 36-30 as well as South Central Calhoun 40-30 before beating Sioux Central 42-24. Sioux Central came away with a win against Manson-Northwest Webster 39-21 and South Central Calhoun 39-30. South Central Calhoun beat Manson-Northwest Webster 42-30.

Okoboji/HMS and Pocahontas Area went up against East Sac County and Manson-Northwest Webster in a Quad. Okoboji/HMS turned in wins against all three opponents, 54-24 against Manson-Northwest Webster, 71-12 over East Sac County, and 45-33 against Pocahontas Area. Pocahontas Area would beat East Sac County 52-18, and fell short against Manson-Northwest Webster 40-36. Manson-Northwest Webster would beat East Sac County 57-21.

North Union competed in a Quad, losing to Eagle Grove 45-30, beating Garner-Hayfield-Ventura 42-36, and dropping to West Hancock 62-24.

There was an important Lakes Conference Triangular between Spencer, Cherokee, and Estherville Lincoln Central. Spencer went 2-0 with a 65-18 win against Cherokee and a 45-27 win over Estherville Lincoln Central. Estherville Lincoln Central handled Cherokee 58-10.
