Des Moines, IA (KICD) — A district court judge from Dickinson County is Governor Reynolds’ pick for a spot on the Iowa Court of Appeals.
During an interview with the judicial nominating commission, Judge John M. Sandy was asked about his establishment of a drug court here in Northwest Iowa.

Sandy is a native of Spirit Lake and was appointed a district court judge by Governor Reynolds just four years ago. The Governor’s office has not yet announced a date that Sandy will be sworn in.
