Spencer, IA (KICD) — During emergencies, Republicans and Democrats can still work together.
Governor Kim Reynolds brought FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell to Spencer after Monday’s expedited disaster declaration.

Criswell and the Governor walked several blocks of 3rd Avenue Southeast and wound up at the East Leach Park campgrounds.

Administrator Criswell says residents of the counties declared a Presidential Disaster area have 60 days to apply for help.

As of Thursday morning, FEMA staffers in Spencer had already opened over 600 cases according to Mayor Steve Bomgaars.
