Lake Park, IA (KICD)– The Harris Lake Park School District will be holding a series of public meetings over the next couple of weeks to educate voters of potential options when it comes to a proposed bond referendum.
The matter has been discussed by the school board and FEH Architects for several months to find solutions to what Superintendent Les Douma calls important needs from roof and HVAC to security.
Each session will go through each of the proposals and allow time for questions before attendees will be asked to rank there preferences which include remodeling the current elementary building, creating one campus for all students in the district or just completing some of the most needed work.
The first public meeting will be this Wednesday from 6:30 to 9:00 at the Harris Community Center followed by additional sessions next Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the Middle/High School Auditorium in Lake Park.
