Cherokee IA, (NorthwestIowaNow)–The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is hosting eight meetings in western Iowa to discuss the status of the region’s deer population levels. State Deer Biologist with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Jace Elliott, spoke with KICD about the upcoming meeting in Cherokee.
Elliott talks about what the DNR hopes to learn from these meetings.
Elliott says dear been declining in western Iowa since the late 2000’s.
The meeting in Cherokee will be on July 18th at the Community Center auditorium at 6:30 PM.
