Milford, IA (KICD) — The Iowa Great Lakes Sanitary Sewer system is still at capacity. CEO Steve Anderson says they’ve finally pinpointed a problem on the West and Northwest side of West Lake.
Anderson is asking homeowners to prevent their flooded houses from emptying into the sanitary sewer.
Anderson is also fielding questions about dying lawns. He says the spots he’s inspecting are not from sewage.
The Iowa Great Lakes Sanitary Sewer is also inspecting homes door to door and fining homeowners one thousand dollars a day for illegal sump pump hookups.
