Jackson, MN (KICD)– A Southern Minnesota man was arrested earlier this week on warrants out several counties.

Jackson County Sheriff Shawn Haken says one of his deputies initiated a traffic stop near Belmont Church Monday afternoon and ultimately took the suspect, only identified as a 39-year-old man from Mountain Lake, into custody on warrants for driving while revoked, failing to carry insurance, and drug possession in both Cottonwood and Watonwan Counties.

The suspect was sent to the Cottonwood County Jail to address those warrants along with an additional charges of assault and fleeing police in a motor vehicle.
