Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– Ongoing jury selection in the case of a former bus driver for the Okoboji School District accused of sexual abuse has been delayed for a second day due to weather.
The initial process to seat a jury for the trail against Steven Titterington began on Tuesday but was not continued on Wednesday because of expected poor weather conditions. That delay has now been extended through Thursday with the selection scheduled to pick up on Friday morning.
Titterington was charged last February with third degree sexual abuse and sexual exploitation by a school employee following the accusation of an incident dating back to 2020.
Court officials say testimony in the case could last as much as five days.
