Lake Park, IA (KICD)– The Mayor of Lake Park says he’s supporting the upcoming bond issue to construct a new elementary building. Matt Carstensen believes the school board made the right decision last week.

Carstensen tells KICD News he will be actively helping the issue pass. The city has already begun mulling possible options for the old building so it wouldn’t have to be torn down.

The four dollar five cent bond issue will be held September 12th. It needs 60 percent approval from Harris Lake Park voters to pass.
