Sioux City, IA (KICD)– A Las Vegas man is going to federal prison on a Northwest Iowa meth conviction.
58-year-old James Conlan was sentenced last week in Sioux City after admitting in court that he and others were involved in a conspiracy to distribute more than a kilogram of methamphetamine in the local area in a one-year span starting in early 2021.
Conlan and further admitted that he utilized the United States Postal Service to send methamphetamine from Las Vegas to an undercover post office box in Spencer on two occasions.
Conlan was sentenced to 100 months’ imprisonment and will be required to serve a four-year term on supervised release. He remains in custody with United States Marshals until he can be transferred to federal prison.
