Spencer, IA (KICD)– The Iowa Great Lakes is going to be the place to be this weekend as the University of Okoboji Winter Games makes its annual return and that has local law enforcement urging caution.

Iowa State Patrol Trooper Kevin Krull tells KICD News it is important to remember that the rules of the road apply to those also driving on the ice.

Trooper Krull also urges those on the ice to watch for changing conditions.

It is also worth mentioning that the forecast is calling for some very frigid air going through the weekend so everyone spending time outside is reminded to dress appropriately to help void serious injury or illness.
