Spencer, IA (KICD)– Monday’s regular Spencer City Council meeting featured monthly reports from department heads including a summary of activity from Police Chief Mark Warburton.

Chief Warburton also noted new technology in the Clay County Communications Center will allow emergency officials to better keep track of how many calls are being received in a month.

Monday’s report for February included more than two thousand overall calls either taken or made by dispatchers. Going forward Chief Warburton says he will be able to break down the data even further to look at how many of those calls received are going to 911.
