Spencer, IA (KICD)– Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School in Spencer is adding another grade. Principal Sarah Popp says next fall they’ll be ready for 8th graders.

Popp says a 100 thousand dollar cash award will help them with the addition.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds herself nominated the school.

Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran started with a kindergarten class of five students in 1999 adding offerings right up until last year when a 7th grade was added.
