Northwest Iowa (KICD)– The Clay County Road Engineer’s office says a rural bridge has been closed until it’s scheduled replacement in 2025.

300th Avenue between County road B-14 and 290th Street; and 290th Street between 290th Avenue and 300th Avenue are impassable.

Another stretch of 210th Avenue between 330th and 340th Street is closed indefinately.

And many county roads are temporarily closed because of flooding.

In Milford, Police Chief Shilo Brevik says there are numerous violations of posted construction signs.

A-34 (which is also 13th Street) is currently under reconstruction and the police department is getting numerous calls a day about motorists ignoring the detour signs and driving around barricades and through the construction zone.

Brevik says tickets are being written for violations.
