Everly, IA (KICD)– A Milford man is facing a drug charge following a traffic stop last weekend near Everly.
45-year-old Derek Larson was stopped by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office just before one o’clock Sunday morning on 130th Avenue just south of Highway 18 for a traffic violation.
Upon investigation, the Deputy allegedly picked up a smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle which led to Larson reportedly admitting he had been drinking before getting behind the wheel. He was later charged with second offense operating while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, speeding and failing to display registration plates.
