Spencer, IA (KICD) — The Spencer Fire Department and Planning Department identified approximately 60 homes with foundational cave in or collapses. Planning Director Adam Syverson says professionals are now taking a closer look.

Syverson says city staff has inspected 214 basement electric systems, and about 200 residents have signed waivers asking for electricity to be restored without inspections.
