Estherville, IA (KICD)– Four people are facing multiple charges following two Emmet County traffic stops in the last week.
Sheriff Mike Martens tells KICD News the first stop was initiated last Tuesday near Dolliver where an investigation determined 32-year-old Trey Rawls of Hazelhurst, Georgia was allegedly driving with a suspended license while also being in possession of controlled substances.
That led to Rawls and a passenger, 23-year-old Tyreek Smith of Camden, Alabama, both being charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia with Rawls being additionally charged with the suspended license offense and speeding.
The second stop took place early the next morning near Gruver when a K-9 unit indicated the possible presence of illegal substances which ultimately led to 30-year-old Clay Willimas of Milford and 38-year-old Abriel Dean of Harris being charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Williams was additionally charged with unlawfully possessing prescription drugs and several traffic-related violations.
