Sheldon, IA (KICD) — Northwest Iowa Community College says fall enrollment is the second highest in the fifty-seven year history of the institution, second only to last year. And the number of credits hours for students is actually 2.68 percent more than 2022.

Certified enrollment is currently 1,792 down 19 students from last year and 15 higher than fall of 2019 which now ranks number three on the books.

NCC says fall enrollment is only one measurement since different students enter and exit their programs through-out the year and that a more meaningful number might be the academic year enrollment count. 2,778 students were served in the 2022-23 academic year that ended in August, up 3 percent from 2021-22.
