Milford, IA (KICD) — The new patrolman for the city of Milford is on the beat. Maverick Warburton comes from a law enforcement family, great up in Spencer, and is a graduate of the criminal justice programs at Iowa Lakes Community College and Buena Vista University.

Warburton was sworn in last week. Typically, new officers are sent to the police academy right off the bat, but Police Chief Shilo Brevick says one learns a lot during the summer months in the Iowa lakes, so Warburton will attend academy this fall.
