West Bend, IA (KICD) — As we previously reported, long-time West Bend Mallard teacher, coach, and principal Paul Peppmeier has been hired as Superintendent for West Bend Mallard and Gilmore City Bradgate.
Peppmeier was the guest on George Bower’s morning show Tuesday.

So what are the challenges for small, rural, districts?

Peppmeier feels the two districts – working together – can retain their independent status for the foreseeable future.

Peppmeier says the facilities for both districts are currently in good condition.
